In 2016 we founded Dutch Wasabi. In 2018 we harvested our first wasabi and we have been investing in growing Japanese wasabi ever since. As all wasabi growers will tell you, wasabi is a challenging crop to grow. It takes time, effort and a lot of patience to grow wasabi to a high standard.
We bought our first plants from The Wasabi Company, England. They were the first in Europe to grow wasabi successfully and have been doing so since 2010. We have been in contact ever since.
The Wasabi Company and Dutch Wasabi share a common goal, growing high quality fresh wasabi and suppling high quality Japanese ingredients to chefs and consumers in Europe.
With the challenges Brexit introduced we offered to support The Wasabi Company to continue their service to their EU customers. We are proud to announce that Dutch Wasabi and The Wasabi Company have joined forces in a partnership that will lead to a continuous, reliable supply of high-quality wasabi.
This means that we will start to offer The Wasabi Company’s wasabi and Wasabi Label products. We will work together to source high-quality Japanese ingredients and a unique assortment of plants. Furthermore, we are combining our experiences and knowledge to further improve our wasabi growing methods.
We are looking forward to sharing our new adventure with you. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
