Make a delicious dressing or marinade. Yuzu also combines spectacularly well with desserts and sorbets. In addition, the skin can also be used to make jam. And of course not to forget in a delicious cocktail.

Stores well in the fridge for 7 days.

    Yuzu?

Yuzu is a citrus fruit. Originally from China but grown in Japan in recent decades. It grows on a tree just like oranges and tangerines. The fruit starts out green and ripens yellow / orange in autumn.

Yuzu is very similar in many ways to sudachi another Japanese citrus, a cross between yuzu and tangerine, although unlike sudachi, yuzu eventually ripens to an orange color and there are subtle differences in flavor.

Yuzu is therefore mainly grown in Japan, but since a few decades also in the US and increasingly in Spain. Yet Yuzu remains scarce and has a short shelf life. The harvest season of the ripe Yuzu runs, depending on the weather conditions, from November to January and is very short.

The price of Yuzu is therefore very high compared to other citrus fruits. Fortunately, one fruit gives off a lot of flavor and the skin is also very usable.
