Finger limes, also called caviar lime or finger lime, are 5-10 cm long citrus fruits. Unlike normal limes, finger limes do not have a solid structure, but small spheres on the inside, like caviar. There are many different varieties with different colors on the outside and inside. Our variety is green/yellow on the outside and also on the inside. Some limes have spheres that are slightly pink.
Finger limes have a fresh lime flavor. The spheres pop open when you eat them and are very refreshing.
Cut the finger lime open and use the spheres inside. Use the spheres in a salad, as a topping on a piece of fish or oysters. Finger limes are also delicious and original as a topping for desserts and cheese boards. Don't forget to try them in a gin and tonic, champagne or cocktail. The applications are endless.
