Fruity ginjo sake - 100% pure rice wine
A very elegant yet full-bodied, fruity ginjō sake. Unpasteurised. A combination of sweetness and acidity results in a refreshing apple-like aroma and taste. In contrast to most ginjō, which predominantly offer aroma, Kizan has a very high level of acidity for a ginjō sake and accordingly also provides full body and full taste. Perfect for hot summer days!

Brewery
Chikuma Nishiki brewery is located in the center of Nagano Prefecture. This is a perfect location for Sake brewing because of it's naturally cold location amid some of Japan’s tallest mountain ranges. From crystal clear water, fresh cold mountain air and great rice, Nagano has the perfect ingredients for producing fantastic Sake. Chikuma Nishiki has a long brewing history dating back to 1681. The kura (brewery) is built around 4 wells sourced from the Chikuma River which provide soft water perfect for sake brewing. They use the famous local rice called Miyama Nishiki for their Sake brewing because of it’s large plump uniform grain and it’s ability to grow evenly in the extremely cold areas of Nagano.
