Unique fresh aroma of shallot and ginger

Grown in our own greenhouse; the flower buds of the Japanese ginger - Myoga. It is not the rhizome (tuber) of this ginger that is eaten, but the young flower buds.
These buds have a unique spicy taste and great aroma. These can be eaten raw, but also boiled, fried (tempura) or pickled.
A perfect combination with Japanese dishes, as a garnish or for frying in tempura batter.

Background
In 2020 we started growing Myoga. We were very happy with the first result. This year's myoga is our first year of small scale production. We will continue to improve the quality over the coming years. Until then, we would like to let you enjoy the current result.
